USA Casino Gambling Industry Takes A Hit, Loses Rival Software - October 21st, 2011

American gamblers who have been watching the industry of online casinos have witnessed the fall of one of the largest brands of online casino software – Rival Gaming. Rival Gaming has pulled the plug on their serving the United States, much the same way the Microgaming software had done in years past.

Rival Gaming once served the United States with hundreds of casinos, but now players would be hard pressed to find even one that still uses the Rival software. Players looking to use this software will have Golden Cherry Casino, but no others.

Rival pulled out of the American market after poker’s black Friday, perhaps as a preemptive protective measure against the possibility being seized or otherwise penalized by the federal government. Every casino either dropped out of the market or switched to a more accommodating type of software – the RTG Software.

As in the case of Sloto Cash Casino, some Rival online casinos had decided to switch to the RTG software. Those that did essentially set themselves up to continue operating, but under an improved version of their software.

Unfortunately, online casinos are still unregulated. The gambling industry has not yet spread to the Internet in a regulated fashion, which means players still have no choice to get involved in the games without an inherent risk.
